Confocal Endomicroscopy and ESD of Esophageal Cancer

Haruhiro Inoue, MD, performs a confocal endomicroscopy and ESD of esophaageal cancer. The patient is an 81 year old woman with Parkinson's disease, she received an endoscopy to evaluate symptoms of nausea, vomiting, and heartburn. During this procedure an area of the esophagitis was biopsied and reveals invasive adenocarcinoma with focal signet ring features.
