Per Oral Endoscopic Myotomy for Achalasia After Gastric Sleeve

Haruhiro Inoue, MD, performs a per oral endoscopic myotomy for achalasia after receiving a gastric sleeve. The patient is a 45-year-old man with history of diabetes, obesity BMI 31 s/p gastric sleeve in 2017, and sleep apnea presents for treatment of achalasia. Symptoms have been present for 20 years and progressively worsening over the last 8 years. This video is part of the 11th Annual Long Island Live Endoscopy Course, Frontiers of Endoscopic Surgery.
