Submucosal Tunneling Endoscopic Resection (STER) for Esophageal Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor (GIST)

Ping-Hong Zhou, MD, performs submucosal tunneling endoscopic resection (STER) for esophageal gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST). The patient is a 68 year old man from California presenting for treatment of esophageal GIST. The pateint had an endoscopy in may of 2015 to evaluate GERD and was noted to have 1.5 cm esophageal submucosal tumor at 33cm from incisors.
